I love to make table runners.  You get the whole quilt making experience but in the end it takes a fraction of the time of making a quilt.  Table runners are a wonderful addition to your home.
Here are a few I've made:

 

 

This runner has no pattern.  it's just rows of mini tumblers sewn together.  This wasn't hard at all, just a little fiddly working with all the tiny pieces. 

 

 

The runners above were part of the giveaway I did in 2012.  They are know as 10-Minute Table Runners.  Let me assure you that it takes longer than 10 minutes to make one.
