KEEPING BUSY

I have been absent from blogging here for a while.  Taking care of Hubby after his hip replacement has been enough to keep me busy most days.  There has been little time for sewing or visiting for weeks now.

Today begins the Easter weekend.  I drove to town this morning and I was thrilled to see dozens of people holding large while crosses lined up along the highway as a reminder of the true reason for Easter.

I hope our fussy Spring weather cooperates with egg hunts, frilly dresses and sunrise services.  I always think it's a little sad when the little girls don their beautiful pastel Easter frocks and have to wear coats over them.  Since you can't quench their enthusiasm, they manage to have a good time anyway.

We will have a traditional ham dinner for our Easter meal:  ham, potatoes, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, fresh fruit salad and rolls.  For something different for dessert I will make cream puffs.

Wishing you and yours renewal in your hearts at this special season.
